AI-powered Video Conferencing With Qualcomm QCS8250

Posted on | Updated on

The modern hybrid workplace needs a modern solution to ensure that colleagues can still connect and collaborate across a distributed workforce.

At ISE 2023, Qualcomm announced the QCS8250 Video Collaboration Reference Design: An AI-powered platform designed to help OEMs create, customize, and launch innovative video conferencing products. This all-in-one solution enables premium features like noise suppression and dynamic speaker framing for a more immersive experience in virtual meetings.

The QSC8250 leverages the Qualcomm AI Suite for Video Collaboration/Video Conferencing to offer customizable on-device AI capabilities for an enhanced video conferencing solution. State-of-the-art neural networks-based noise suppression technology intelligently isolates the speaker’s voice while muting distracting background noises. AI speaker and group framing automatically detect people in a conference room and smoothly zooms in or out with three ultra-HD cameras. And third-party vendors can easily enable support for more AI features to suit their needs.

The Qualcomm QCS8250 Reference Design enables a more immersive, virtually seamless video conferencing experience that ensures all colleagues can be clearly seen and heard, whether they’re in a conference room, working from home, or joining a call on the go. It’s the latest innovation in a long line of transformative Qualcomm technologies that are revolutionizing the way we work, communicate, and collaborate.
